Magnolias Consulting, Year in Review 2016

Every year, we like to summarize our companies progress.


As with everybody in Western Canada, 2016 brought with it meager expectations for business growth, and frankly, 2017 is not looking that much better. However, we were able to hold our own thanks to the strong support of our employees, contractors, clients and stakeholders. 


Achieving success and stability in a down economic year is something that we are proud of; but more so, we are very happy about the steps we took this year to diversify our services. We believe that our current and future clients need simplicity in services. They should have to make one call to get things done, not 5. This is why we continue to diversify our business management consulting services. We want to be a one-stop shop for our clients consultant requirements.



In addition to our traditional Business Cycle and Company System Services, over the last year, we have purchased equipment and expanded services to things such as: Pre-Qualification Support, Corporate Videos, Market Research, Project Turnover Support, Software Implementation and much, much, more.


In 2016 one of our traditional services, Company Systems, was still one of our strongest. We had the pleasure of helping many of our industrial and commercial clients take advantage of the slow economy, by using the downtime to create stronger and more cohesive business management systems. When things turn around (hopefully very soon!) these clients have maintained and extended their competitive advantage and will have stronger bid proposals. 


We look forward to continuing to help our clients implement or migrate their Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001:2015. In addition, we will continue to help our clients with their Health and Safety Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems.



In 2017, we also have big plans. Many relate to expansion of our services by opening two new offices. We plan to open up a UK based office in Summer 2017 and a Hong Kong based office in Fall 2017. We are committed to offering our clients an international presence and also being able to further assist our clients to develop relationships and expand to countries around the world. UK and Hong Kong are logical steps for us to take, as they both embody international business, and offer strong connection opportunities for many of our clients.
