Episode 2: Graphic Design is Used for Visual Problem Solving

August 7, 2018

Graphic Design is used for visual problem solving, whether that be in print design, digital design or social graphics. It creates visual identity for a brand, conveying credibility and professionalism to consumers from the moment they encounter your business. Design has intent and purpose, giving you a chance to be more than just a brand and to really resonate with your audience.

As people, we have our own separate identities that we tend to express visually, and you should think of your business in the same way. Investing in high quality creative design will allow you to attract a crowd that connects with your brand’s identity, and it’s for this reason that great design stands out in the minds of decision makers and can influence their choices.

Professional graphic design can be a great sales booster. People are attracted to aesthetically pleasing brands—think Apple—and anything uniquely designed. A quality design gives people a message that the brand is legitimate, reliable and high quality, helping bring people back to the business over and over again.

Graphic design has a big role to play in the competitive business environment. With so many new companies and start-ups joining the business world, standing out and impressing the market could be the different between thriving in the market or not. Useful materials to have include brochures, business cards, websites, social media channel designs, and so forth.

Employees should always share a common cause and feel like they can unite under a brand. Graphic designs can help the company by providing collateral such as logos that the employees can be proud of and identify with. It should feel like they are part of an exclusive club that they can’t wait to represent - and modern graphic design is key to this.

Creating a name for yourself and for your brand all starts with great graphic design – and don’t forget, first impressions are everything!
