ISO 9001:2015 Audit Checklist

 A Quality Management System (QMS) is something that every single business should have. To debunk traditional theories, a QMS is not only about "quality" of the products a business is making. It is about having an overall Business Management System that outlines how your business runs and how you manage your product and service delivery.

 

Procedural "steps" to be taken to be in compliance with ISO 9001:2015:

 

Step 1: General Requirements

 

Basic requirements of documentation and control processes to be able to maintain the control of the overall system.

 

Step 2: Context of the Organization

 

Understanding the organization and its context. Including the internal issues of the organization and needs / expectations of interested parties. Finally, looks at the scope of the company and of the quality management system itself.

 

Step 3: Leadership

 

Contextualizing the leadership of the organization, including but not limited to the roles, responsibilities and customer focuses of the company, arranged within policies and verified through observation within day-to-day operations.

 

Step 4: Planning

 

Management of change, planning for the future and action to address both risks and opprotunities of significant business decisions.

 

Step 5: Support

 

Provides an overview of support operations related to people, infrastructure, business environment, proprietary knowledge and documented information.

 

Step 6: Operation

 

Deals with all of the operational procedures of the company. Involves the planning and controls that are in place to manage and monitor operations. Also looks at the customer communication process, product requirements, production provisions and service processes within the business.

 

Step 7: Performance Evaluation

 

Performance indicators, internal and external audit processes are required to monitor the overall system, which will lead into the management review and improvement of the system.

 

Step 8: Improvement

 

The overall goal of every system is to continually improve both the process and the business.
